November 17, 2009

medusa-knocturnalleyKnockturn Alley’s Metal album was reviewed by heavymetal.dk a popular Danish heavy metal website which reviews and reports about anything which regards heavy metal including bands and festivals.

The following review was put forward by the website reviewers who gave the album a fantastic score of 80%!

Knock Turn Alley is a metalcore / melodic death metal band from Malta, which has existed since 2004 but as yet have received no record contract.

Instead of trudging around on the beach and wait to be discovered, the band has chosen to break piggy bank and invest their own money in the self-produced full length album Medusa. And it may well prove to be a wise move as the five mercenaries from the holiday island are damn talented although the production could have been a little sharper.

Still, Medusa is actually quite a successful and professional album. Just take the titles “Bringing Back The Terror” and title track “Medusa”, where the band really shows that they have a good sense to combine good melodies with glorious brutality. Assessed as a demo, therefore I choose to give the score of 80%.
