On 29 December 2009, Ryan Aguis and Mark Micallef together with Luke Aguis (former member) formed the band which was formerly known as Dynamite. Neville Mallia (former member) was recruited by Luke Aguis on bass and Kersten Graham was recruited by Mark Micallef on lead guitar

on June 2010. A number of vocalists were assigned to the post but none, with all due respect, were fit for the job in the eyes of the musicians. In December 2010 Dynamite won the JC Battle of the Bands and a month later Luke Aguis and Neville Mallia left the band for personal reasons.

After weeks of auditions the band recruited Gary Bugeja and Matthew Vella on vocals and bass respectively they were official members on the 1st of April of 2011. The band decided that new members new start so the band was renamed to Negative Spaces. The band is currently working on singles with well known producer Nicky Gravino and is scheduling gigs for thier new prospects and goals.

Francesca is a 19 music artist from Malta who was involved in music from a very young age. She played piano as a child and also started ballet at the age of 2. Francesca Galea was brought up listening to classical music and was initially classically trained as a singer who later fell in love with 90′s pop, She later began to sing more modern songs and started to sing at festivals. At the age of 15 Francesca was part of a girl group until the age of 16, when things didn’t work out and was the time she went solo.

Francesca collaborated with Muxu to produce her first release called “stilettos” in 2010. Shortly afterwards, she collaborated also with Jo Micali and U-Bahn for a summery trance tune. These both did very well on radio stations and the 2nd release “making you mine” was even nominated for a Malta Music Award.

Francesca moved to the UK to study at the ACM to further her career and Since then she have collaborated with many producers, writers and artists such as Xenia Ghali (Ministry Of Sound) (for tunes such as “Concession”, “What you Got” & “Insanity”) and Code Red Records who will be releasing Francesca’s summer single called “I never meant”.

Stefan Galea is a Maltese teen electro pop/ Rnb artist from the sunny island of Malta. He is currently gaining lot’s of success on the island and internationally.
He has only released two singles to date, but the future is looking bright for Stefan for at his young age he has managed to have two number 1 singles in Malta. His debut single “Take It Or Leave It” written by British songwriter/producer Richard Rogers and lyrics by Elizabeth Galea, managed to get the number 1 spot in the Reverb Chart and stayed their for 8 weeks, To continue on that note he also worked with talented songwriter James Forrest (Glasgow U.K.) from Supa Sonic Music who pitched his track “Shotgun Lover” to Stefan in collaboration with rapper DIMAL. The track also reached the number 1 spot and continued to gain and enjoy more radio airplay and TV performances.

Stefan got big exposure as soon as he debuted at The Malta Junior Eurovision Festival 2009 stage with his trribal up tempo track “Shake Up Wake Up” a song about teens living their dreams, which got a very good considerable number of hits on You Tube. After Stefan was discovered by Aiming 4 Fame founder Madeleine Dargue, an organisation which develops artists in collaboration with ICAD International so as to get the right songs, right image, and vocal abilities, as well as finding gigs and opportunities for the artist.

He is currently working on new tracks and is looking to release his debut album “My Evolution”. Another achievement gained is when he got nominated for The Peoples Music Awards as Best Male Solo Artist and Best Dance Electronica Artist. Stefan also supported top acts performing at their concerts/gigs including the UK’s top pop girl duo “The Cheeky Girls” and Malta’s rock jewel chick Ira Losco. Stefan also forms part of The HSBC Joseph Calleja Choir.

Meanwhile Stefan’s big break arrived when his promo single “Shotgun Lover” ft. DIMAL (James Forrest UK) was chosen for the first time ever to be featured on the Malta to Midem CD, the track was distributed to all CEO’s of major record labels, MTV, and gaming producers at the Worlds largest music industry trade fair MIDEM in Cannes, France. 10 days later Stefan was contacted by New York City Label Dramatico who worked with the likes of Katie Melua. He is currently working on two of the labels tracks which made Stefan get more local press/media attention from newspapers/tabloids, magazine features, interviews, and TV, etc.

At his young age Stefan participated in various festivals and won, while also performing on various TV shows, and recently he made it to the semi finals of The ISC International Songwriting Competition 2010 (USA) beating thousands of applicants judged by various music industry movers and shakers including Kings Of Leon, Rihanna, Robbie Williams, people from VH1 and MTV also people form Walt Disney Records, Sony and various labels. Stefan also placed second in You Tube’s Got Talent 2010, while also having the opportunity to study for 7 years at The Masquerade Theater arts school which consists of Drama, Music & Dancing, which led Stefan to get a role in a Maltese movie “Qatt M’ Hu Tard” directed by Elio Lombardi. While also performing in front of Italian Ambasador Onor. Andrea Trabalza in 2008.

Stefan is working with top international established songwriters from the UK, US, and Australia, and Europe who have worked with the likes of Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus and many more thanks to Aiming 4 Fame (Madeleine Dargue) and Ms. Lotte Aagaard from T.G. Publishing Denmark. Stefan is managing to juggle school and music as well as guitar studies, and the producing area with Cool Bro Sound, and hosting a web televised show Aiming 4 Fame TV, In the meantime watch out for more.

It all started back in 2009 when Dylan Azzopardi met Ishmael (ex guitar&vocalist) and jammed together for a while, deciding to start a band. with matthew on bass Ms Leads covered some songs by Green Day and Simple Plan. After a few months Dylan started writing new material, “Take it all away” and “September”. recorded some rough riffs, got everything together and recorded the whole song. Early 2011 ishmael and matthew left the band for personal reasons.

Dylan decided he must continue this band since he believed it had the power to suceed. met ryan and clay at the garages in Marsa and spoke with them about continuing what was started. They happily agreed and wrote new songs with more style. One of them is soon to be recorded which is called “Tonight”.

Firstly, in 2006-2007 the group consisted of Desmond, David and Ian who formed a band ‘Desvidian’ but things did not work out so they broke up. David and Desmond continued to play together and Ian found another band. This led to two separate bands called ‘Monsters Ate My Grandma’ consisting of Desmond , David and Andrew (who used to play the drums ) in 2008 and the other band ‘Sikrana’ having Michael and Ian in 2007-2008…

In November 2008 Saint Aloysius’ ‘Sub Sonic’ was put up and the two separate bands played in the same event. They both got to know one another and ended up playing some time together individually which resulted in friendship. During the Saint Aloysius School Concert were the Music Director needed a Band to play for the musical and knowing that the group all wanted to play it was decided to play as a band for the concert. Thus the new band was formed in April 2009

Criminal Kiss have now played a number of gigs together including SAC Fest 2009/10/11, Guitar Fest, National Youth Week, Fund Raising in aid of Dar tal-Providenza and Haiti, Launch of Agenzija Zghazagh and also placed 1st in the SOS Battle of the Bands 2011.

The band was formed on the 9th of February 2010 by Mark and Edward. They were joined by Simon, Matthew and Manny. Some of the band members , as stated here below, have performed and recorded with various bands and artists around Malta, England and the USA.

Mark Spiteri: The lead vocalist, bass player and songwriter started playing guitar in 1976 and turned to bass playing in 1984. This was around the time he formed a metal band in Malta called ‘Vandals’, he was only 16 yrs old at the time. With their good vibe with the audience, their original material was pulling the crowds to everywhere they played. In 1989 Mark gave up the band to move to the UK where he joined a three piece Australian rock band ‘Zenn Temple’ as the lead vocalist and bass player. The band then called it quits when the other members decided to go back to Australia.

1992 was when Mark went back to Malta and gave birth to ‘Lord Adder’, a band which was a big success, with four recorded and released albums in Malta, being supporting act to Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Saxon, Smokie and Girls School under their belt. The band also had the privilege to play twice at the London Marquee in Charing Cross Road. In 1997 a competition was being held in Brescia Italy in which Lord Adder was competing amongst 19 bands from Italy and Switzerland and Lord Adder placed first! The band disbanded in 2004.

On the 9th of February 2010 Mark met Edward Ferry and formed ‘The Granules’. Songwriting started by Mark the following April for the band’s original material. 8 months later 30 tracks had been written, composed and perfected. Manny Busuttil: The last member to join the band, a veteran lead guitarist who lived in New York City and studied music in Los Angeles. He also performed in Malta throughout his early days with a Rock band called ‘VHF’ and also played in various bands in the United States during his lengthy stay there. Apart from being the lead guitarist of the band and backing vocals he is also part of the production team for the songs with all the experience behind him whilst currently being a guitar and bass tutor at the Malta National Music College. Edward Ferry: A 21 year old rhythm guitarist was in a Maltese rock band ‘Chordust’ in which he took care of the rhythm guitar work and the songwriting for the band and for other local artists.

Simon Fenech: A piano and keyboard player was a session musician first worked with Mark on the last album of ‘Lord Adder’, a fulltime musician playing in clubs and hotels. He is also as session musician with the Malta National Philharmonic Orchestra. Recently he was one of the musicians backing the Italian internationally acclaimed Riccardo Cocciante. Simon is also a successful music arranger. Matthew Vella: A twenty year old drummer, percussionist and drums tutor in a private music college in Malta. He has worked with various Maltese artists and DJ’s as a session musician. His musical range varies from Classic Rock to Progressive Rock, Funk, Jazz and Reggae.

Dry Connections was formed in February 2009, by Bruce, Franklin and Mark … after a while Fredu joined the Group and the name Dry Connections was chosen in Conjunction with “Dry Joints” … as we had a lot of equipment fault! Then Steve Joined (speaking of Faulty equipment) , then he left, then he rejoined and all was well (exactly just like the bible would say!)

Dry Connections Have taken part in fund raising events for children, as we believe that music is the key to the hearts of people

The duo certainly cannot claim lack of experience: Sylvan has fronted alternative indie band Sputnik Sweetheart on vocals and guitars, and later on bass with Stilair. Aaron’s drumming with Ozzy Lino and Dolls for Idols. They decided to join forces for reasons even unknown to them. All they want to do is create what is beautiful.

Together with Mr Gilbert Micallef on sounds, Mr Kenneth Borg and SickofAnts on visuals, the Walker’s for the location and SuperCroc for the availability, The Sylvan Aaron Massacre released their first single, entitled “Com’On (Com’On)”.

Risis are a Maltese rock band formed in 2008. The band was born from a myriad of different names and line-ups, however it all started with drummer Chris Galea who met ex-guitarist of So Chronic and ex Stone Joker, Stefan Farrugia.

They auditioned for a number of bassists until they met James Attard whom they knew through his former band White Crimson. Together they covered powerful bands like Muse, Skunk Anansie and Rage Against the Machine until they decided to start working on original material. While looking for a singer, James stumbled across Jodi’s profile on Facebook. After a successful audition, Jodi joined Risis and provided the strong voice they were looking for.

The name ‘Risis’ derives from their former “identity cRisis” syndrome where they used to change their band name before every gig.

All the four members show amazing technical and musical skills, with their songs being personal and powerful as can be felt in their live performances. Risis are currently producing their first single with renowned producer Niki Gravino.

Whoever said creativity stopped short of a distortion pedal and a drum kit couldn’t be more wrong. TwoTimeShooter consists of 5 guys who set up in a dodgy sound proofed dodgy basement a bit over a year ago. We jammed to our heart’s content and the result is what you hear today: Arrogant yet sleek guitar riffs, melodic drums and driving bass lines, coupled with catchy verses and in your face choruses.

Not really concerned with trying to please, we write the music we love listening to and only perform what we enjoy playing! Our influences range from 70s rock’n'roll, to 90s grunge, and even the stoner rock of what people are calling the “naughties”. Enjoy TwoTimeShooter tracks!
